sour cream containers

Does anyone know why these are called sour cream containers? They are fun to make, and sour cream is fun to eat....
I like to visit a couple of ladies every month and I made these up to give to them. Really quick, easy and cute. I used Stickles for the first time on the center of the flower and it is so adorable! Kinda like glitter glue for grown ups!

65 years

Last weekend we went to Cardston for my grandparents 65th wedding anniversary party. They still look great!
This is the whole Livingstone clan. Crazy. I can name all of them, I think, if I try real hard and concentrate. Ok, 95% of them!

windmills

What's a trip to Southern Alberta without a stop at the windmills?
Noah wanted some pictures to take to school and show his teacher.
I think I heard somewhere that the electricity these things generate is sent down to California. This may or may not be accurate.
You simply cannot pass these things by without commenting on them. My parents pass them on a weekly basis with another couple, and my mom says the men always have something to say about them.
They really are huge things.
I think I have exhausted my knowledge and interest in the windmills!

AAAHHHH!!!

I did it!! I registered for a 1/2 marathon!! Call me crazy! (I'm secretly excited!) Supposedly Perry's cousin, brother, SIL and Dad are running this race in Victoria in October. I htink it's October...I should check my calender, I may be booked already! So far I am the only one registered so they need to get on that! I'm actually already looking forward to a weekend away! Check out the race here.
Have a great day!

It's my birthday...almost!

My stampin' club girls are the best!! Here are 2 cards I got from Erin and Jess. I love the bright colors in Erin's and the stitchin'...nothing but the real thing for this gal! Jess's is simple and clean...I love 'em both!
Isn't this set so adorable? Love, love, love it!
So, because we are going away this weekend on a flying trip to my grandparents 65 wedding anniversary party (holy cow...I can't imagine 65 years!!) Perry gave me my present today. I have to say he did pretty good! I went for an hour long massage to start...HEAVEN. If you haven't tried it, you really must! When he gave me my present I was surprised...a Bind-It-All. How did he know I wanted a BIA? Has he been checking what websites I've been on?? Here's the story, and it's kinda genius on his part. I put my name on a waiting list at a local scrap book store for them to call me when the BIA's came in. I hadn't totally decided I MUST have one, but I've read a lot about them and wanted to check it out. It seems they called while I was gone and Perry answered the phone. He didn't tell me they called but instead went in a picked it up for my birthday. The genius part you ask?? He erased the number off our call display. I totally would have looked and asked why they called. It was a surprise when he gave it to me. I can't wait to try it out when we get home. You know all those coasters I bought? Just you wait and see what I can do to them with a BIA. I love my guy!

It's time.

Ok, it is totally time for me to lose the 20lbs I have left from having Kai. I totally need to do this now, for me. In an effort to start this off with a bang, I joined a Nike challenge. Why don't you do this with me? It is only 10 miles (16km) in 10 days. I figure if I can't do this for 10 days, I need to revisit my goals! Let me know if you join (it's free) and we can check up on each other. See you in 10 days, a few pounds thinner.

Coaster Calender

So did you notice the calender and post it note holder on the "Enrichment Goodies" post were made out of coasters. Just an idea on what to do with them...here is the link for the calenders. I would recommend printing it off without borders. When I did it the calender printed crooked on the paper so when I was cutting them out it was impossible to get a straight cut without the black border showing somewhere. That made them take way to long to cut out. I'm all for quick and easy! If you make some, make sure you link your picture to this post so I can see what you did! I'm sure they will be fabulous!!!

Club Night

I can't believe how quickly club night came around this month! We did have it a week early, but still. It'll seem like ages when we meet again instead of only 5 weeks! Here are the cards we made - see the tutorial for the card here.

paper: tempting turquoise, whisper white

Enrichment Goodies

I have more pictures to show you but I'm in a bit of a time crunch. So, just one for now...ok fine, two pictures.

The top picture is the prizes that the ladies will get that win a game called "Whats in your purse?" It is a coaster calendar with sticky notes and a pen on the other side. Whose ideas was it to do all these? Surely not mine! See the tutorial here. Ok, I can't find it quick to link you, but I'll look for it tomorrow and add it. These use DP and the "Love and Happiness" sale-a-bration rub ons.
The second picture is the thank you gifts for the 2 speakers. I like 'em! Especially the chocolates! For some reason the picture is not the best, but the tags say "Thank you" from the set All Occasions. I took this opportunity to use some discontinued DP called "Loves Me".

More next time...

He's one!!

I can't believe Kai is one! I know everyone always says time goes quickly, and it definitely does! It doesn't seem like a year ago that we were in the hospital learning all about how the ICN works. Kai was a preemie - not that you would know it now! Today I went into Kai's room to get him after his nap and he was SITTING in his bed. If Kai is on his back he'll just wait for someone to come and sit him up. Why do that himself when he has 3 brothers who like to help him? I was surprised and a little sad - he looked so big! I guess it was bound to happen! In the picture of all the boys Cam has the new toy, and Kai has the box. As long as everyones happy! This month we also have to go to open houses for junior high. AAHHH! I have a birthday, too. I'm a little more nervous about this one than when I turned 30. I think I'll break down when 40 hits! Oh well, as I said at the start...time goes quickly!
