LIfe as I know it...

...is over. Holy cow. Having 3 boys in hockey is going to be a challenge. I'm going to have to come up with some interesting travel conversation. Poor Kai, though, he's the one travelling everywhere with no payoff at the end! The upside is he gets to play in snow that the zamboni dumps before its even really cold outside!

As requested...

My bedroom wall. The words are from a stamp from Stampin' Up!. It says
Together: (to-geth-er) adv
You and Me
lonely no more; with another.
Inseparable. In harmony; in sync.

OMGosh! Guess what I got?

So, my sister and I made a quick trip down to southern Alberta to visit my grandpa. Coming home I stopped in Red Deer because at Pier 1 they had a chair that I have been coveting for about a month. I just stopped to see if it was on sale yet or not. It wasn't. However, the headboard, footboard, bench and table that I also loved was on sale! Whoo hoo!

When I got it home and was unpacking Perry was quite impressed that I got it all in my van! And, do you know what my DH said? "As long as it puts a smile on your face it's worth every penny!" How sweet is that??

If you could buy happiness, it's at Costco for $249.99

Ok, so my house is not a disaster.
Usually.
I keep it as tidy as I can.
Most of the time.
For about the last month or so though, I'd be done cleaning and not happy with how my house looked. The paint is 5 years old, but not super bad. The windows are clean. The light fixtures are clean. I don't get it. Yes, my carpets need cleaned. Always. Whoever put cream colored carpets in the enrtry way, hall and Living room obviously did not have 4 boys. I don' know why we haven't changed them yet. So, afer looking at my house after I was done cleaning and not happy, I decided the carpets needed cleaned. Off to Costco, and hence the $249.99 for a new carpet cleaner. I could have had someone come and do them, but it would have cost the same and I'd have to keep paying it everytime I wanted clean carpets.
WOW!!! My carpets are clean and I walk into the room and just stand and admire them! My house feels clean again! YAH!!!

Noah loves to style Kai's hair in the tub. You should have seen Kai's 'do the next morning after it dried like this!!

Out with the old and in with the new...

This was made for Noah's friend. It is made with wild wasabi - and everything on it has been discontinued! How did this happen? Oh, well, its a good thing Stampin'Up! replaces their good things with, well, more great things!!
I love this combo of kiwi kiss - really not my favorite color when I got it, but LOVING it now! - and pink pirouette. The words are pretty light in the picture, but IRL you can see them much better. The DP is Bella Rose and the ink is Chocolate Chip. Check out all the details over at www.kaylanistothart.stampinup.net.

Holy Cow!

Well. Ryan and Perry went shoe shopping the other day because Ryan's shoes were falling apart. They ended up buying a size 7 mens runner for him. Perry said he was surprised they were so big, but I really didn't think anything about it. Perry is a size 9, and his brothers are all close to that even though they range in height from about 6'1" to 6'4". Still, I didn't think anything of it...UNTIL...Noah was reading the bottom of my flip flops that said mens - 7, womens - 9. Then, he asked if these shoes were Ryan's or mom's? HOLY COW - we have the same size feet!!! When did that happen? To top it off, Noah's new shoes are size 6 1/2. I'm sure they will both be taller than me soon, too!
