What was I thinking?

Ok,
So Cam had a soccer game today. I decided we would bike/rollerblade/stroller it to the game. It wasn't that far away. It took a little longer than I thought it would to get there and we arrived 10 minutes late. Not a big deal really, for a 4 year old game. However, Cam was tired and just wanted to rest and watch the game and eat a hot dog. I tried convincing him the hot dog was for after the game, but to no avail. He finished just as the game ended. It was kinda funny because he wanted to go play and everyone was lining up to shake hands! Now, we still had to get home. He got about 2 blocks from the field and was then too tired to bike. Picture this: me on rollerblades (I'll be the first to admit I probably couldn't roller blade without the balance a stroller provides.), Kai in the stroller, Cam's bike balancing on the top of the stroller canopy, Cam hanging on for dear life while I piggy back him. LOL! Then, it starts to rain. We are about 1 block from home and he decides he can bike again. About 20ft later he wasn't watching where he was going and ran straight into a city sign about streetcleaning. Then, in our back alley I got a rock stuck in one of the rollerblades and it wouldn't roll, so I has kinda blading with one foot, hopping with the other and just trying not to fall. Really, I couldn't make this up! Whatchagonna do other than laugh?

The IBL in Edmonton

Edmonton is now the proud home of an International Basketball League team called the Edmonton Chill. My brother, 3 of his children, Perry's cousin and husband, Ryan, Noah , Cam and me (I?) went. Fun times! Let me tell you we were a big group to get in the building all at one time!

Sorry the picture is so dark, I'll have to work on that! Can you spot Perry? He is the one on the left standing in the classic Stothart pose. His dad, both brothers and 3 of his sons all stand that way. He is kinda cute up close. The kids all started chanting "Go ref 1-0-5! Go ref 1-0-5!" That is the number on the back of his shirt. They were impressively loud at the chanting. Come to think of it, they were loud all night!
Here is some poor guy sitting in front of us. He got my deepest sympathies. Actually, it is Perry's cousins husband. He doesn't have children though, so I think by the end of the night he was ready to say good bye! We do enjoy his humor though. He is English and has the dry wit all good Englishmen are suppose to have. Get him and Perry going and you'll laugh for sure!
At the end of the game the players stick around and sign autographs for a bit. The kids had a blast! Andrew was especially cute...went right up and got what he wanted. Noah got every player and his favorite ones 4 times. OH, fun times!
~Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

A little Creativity..

This is Julie's card for our color challenge this month for stampers group. Too cute! She has the best ideas!
Totally off topic...Sugarland has a new song out that I LovE! it is called "All I want to do" and if you happen to catch it on the radio stay and sing along with it. It's catchy and will make you smile!
I have no idea why this card is sideways because in My Pictures it is not. I can't get it to rotate. Oh well, use your imagination!
If you click on the picture and enlarge it you will notice he has a hurt toe. This one is for a brother of mine....Cam said when he is feeling better he can turn the card sideways and the boy will be standing again. That made me LOL!
One of my BFF's daughter came over and made invites for her birthday party. The sun and waves are sparkly and I think she did a great job! Way to go Afrika!!

~Time for a new post!

I am totally procrastinating...

I really should be studying....but...you know how it is some days. I will....later...LOL! What is an update without some pictures? I've got a lot of procrastinating in me, so beware...this may be a lengthy post!

Last Monday we went to Miquelon Lake for the day. It was beautiful! Here my SN (sweet niece???) is posing for the camera. She is too cute!

Kai playing around. He wouldn't stay still for a minute! Kennedy pretty much hung around her mom, but not Kai. I would look away and he'd be off playing with some other toy or heading to the water. Not a cautious bone in his body!

My older two boys...

Noah at a cub car rally...eating cookies and being a goof. That's about right.

Ryan got an award last week for placing 4th in
Edmonton in a math competition he participated in in March.
Look at Ryan's face closely...you'll notice he has a weird expression...it was too funny...the presenter was doing the picture pose...shaking hands forever and smiling at the camera...Ryan looked at him like "What are you doing and why are you still shaking my hand?" It was quite funny!

I'm going to switch to a new post for more pictures...I can't get the hang of how to put multiple pictures on one post without spending forever moving them around so the words stay together.
Sigh...maybe next time I'm procrastinating I'll play around with it more...

What a day!

I can't believe how smoothly the day went! You know how some days you are so busy but as you're laying in bed thinking about it you really can't say exactly what you got done? Today was not one of those days!!

I started out getting Ryan to school early for a pancake breakfast - his teacher was hosting as they were writing HLAT tests all morning.

Cam had to be at his friends house for 10:15 as they were going to the zoo for the day. We are not sure exactly what they saw, but they insist it was a gorilla. As far as I know, our little zoo does not have a gorilla. Ah, to be 4 again!

Kai had his one year check up at 10:50. Where has the year gone? Holy smokes! He is doing great - 50% percentile for height and weight. I think it was Ryan who was off the charts from the time he was 3 months old until they quite plotting his measurements on a chart! Kai started giving hugs and kisses. Too cute!

I had to be downtown for an exam at 1pm. It went well, thanks for asking. Then, I popped into the passport office to see about Kai's passport since I was down town. OMGosh!! I got my number and walked right up to the counter!! There was no one sitting, waiting in the chairs! 10 minutes later I was leaving the building!

Since things went so quick I stopped at the Motor Vehicle office to renew my drivers. Oops...it expired on my birthday! I'm sure you all remember that was back in March. Happy day - when I went into the building my hubby was standing in line to get a new license as well. His was stolen:( the other day. I got to chat with Per for 20 minutes while we waited in line. Fun times. I must admit I like talking to the guy!

Then, off to pick up Cam from his buddies and Ryan and Noah are home from school.

Light up the BBQ quick for hot dogs and then rollerblading off to get Noah to cubs. They were at a home about 10 blocks away tonight so I rollerbladed, Kai was in the stroller and Cam and Noah rode bikes.

Pick up Noah quick, then get Ryan to scouts. Hurry fast or we'll be late!

Ryan is currently at scouts, but Perry has a meeting at the stake centre tonight so he can bring Ryan home. Yah! Kai is in bed, Noah and Cam are having bedtime snacks, then heading off to bed.

I have to say, my home has seen cleaner days, but I am sitting and watching a show tonight. Maybe American Idol. I think they are getting close to being finished. Should be nice, light, interesting entertainment for an hour. I am not cleaning tonight! On that thought, I left messages with a couple of cleaning companies tonight. I think I'm getting a maid weekly for the the summer. One mom can definitely not do it all! I have no idea why we try! Give ourselves a break, I say! Especially when we need to repeat everything...well almost everything...just substitute soccer for cubs and scouts...again tomorrow!

Well, off to get the kiddies to bed and then put my feet up!

I love my...

...purse! I know, a funny thing to love, but there you have it! As I was sitting in church today I was looking at it and wondered why I liked it so much. I think it's the lining. I love the lining.

I decided to make a card with this as my inspiration. I have to say...not to shabby! The flowers are embossed so they are shiny and the words are put on with dimensionals so the stick up a bit. Its really quite cute in real life!

~Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Mother's Day!

I miss this...

Wouldn't it be great to fit into a bath tub like this again? I can imagine just how it feels....aahhh, ....heaven....

I found the camera!!!

Out with the old...(those burgers were later used for hockey pucks)
In with the new...

BBQ season, here I come!

:(

I hate waking up to bad news.
Perry got his truck broken into last night:(
They took his Oakley sunglasses and his wallet. Who leaves their wallet in the vehicle? If you do, STOP! They did leave his laptop though. His old one that doesn't work anymore, but still. I had to phone and get the credit cards cancelled today etc. etc. Poor Perry though, lots of stuff he has to replace now. Drivers, birth certificate...
I went looking for the camera today and can't find it. I really hope Perry didn't take it to work and leave it in his truck...he has yet to get back to me about that...

So, On my missing camera there are pictures of our new BBQ and Cam in the tub. I hope I get to share these with you...too cute...Cam, I mean, not the BBQ. It does have a cute little "chimney" though. Its a step or two above our old one that we bought from the bargain finder about 8 years ago for $20. If we didn't take it the guy was going to throw it away. I wonder why we even paid $20? Last week I BBQed and the thing tilts crazily to one side and is quite a safety hazard, so I bit the bullet and bought the new one. You don't know how thankful I am that Perry doesn't have a garage door opener in his truck. If my BBQ had gotten stolen (we had one a few years ago that got stolen after 2 days) I would be very sad for a very long time.

Well, go take anything valuable out of your vehicle and have a fabulous day!
