What I don't have a picture of

Guess what I did last night?
A friend of mine ( we have been friends for 13 years !) was in town last night. Her school sent her to a conference here for the next 2 days (she is a school counselor), so they put her up at the Delta. I met her at the mall (where else??), we did some shopping, went for dinner, then hung out in the hot tub at the Delta. Very fun! I had to sleep over as it was a HUGE bed, and comfy, comfy pillows. I got home in time for Perry to go to work. I'm not sure what the boys had for breakfast, but I'm pretty sure they won't die from it. The dishes are now in the dishwasher and I can get on with my day, rested and happy! I can't believe it was 13 years ago that we were neighbours. Through many moves, pregnancies, miscarriages, job changes, infants, toddlers, teenagers (how did that happen?), hard times, good times, we have been friends during it all. I cherish my time with Angie and am so happy we are friends! Love ya babe!

What I do have pictures of

I'm not sure if I'm lovin' this or not, but it is what it is. Perry's cousin is a globetrotter and takes a family album with him everywhere...Now we are in it!

Saturday was our stampers 10 group and we always do a color/layout challenge. (From
Splitcoast Stampers) We only had a few ladies participate this time, but here are 2 samples.

Julie Gregson

The color challenge was Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Regal Rose. I love the embossed vellum on Julie's card. I just know more ladies are going to play along next month, right ladies?!

I"m going to try and do a sidebar for our challenges so you can check them out whenever you want, but we'll see how that goes!

sheesh

A conversation with my four year old:

me - "Hey Cam, do you want to go to Costco?"

Cam - "No."

"Please? I need someone to come and keep me company."

"No."

"We'll get chicken fingers and fries and gravy and a pop."

"No. Hey mom, I like you best than dad. You are super fun."

"Thanks Cam."

"Can I stay up late tonight?"

"Nope. Do you want to go to Costco with me?"

"I said I don't like Chicken Thumbs."

"We could look at the Wii games."

"Ok. What kinda pop do they have?"

Sweet success.
(Sorry about the snotty nose in the pic.)

Close your eyes

If you are in my family or a close friend, shut your eyes NOW!!! (Unless you have already received a card from our family this January) Posted below is a picture of the card I did for New Years. I decided to forget about "Merry Christmas" cards so as not to get too stressed before Christmas (I was gone for 1 week the week before Christmas on a trip to the Dominican with a friend...long story, but again I say, "My husband is the best!) and do "Happy New Year" cards instead. Here it is...

Recipe: All supplies from Stampin' Up!

stamps - polka dot BG, Holidays and Wishes

paper - bashful blue, whisper white, vellum cardstock, DP

ink - Night of Navy, Bashful Blue

Misc.-small and large tag punches, 2 way glue, dazzling diamonds, SAMJ, spritzer, pretties kit, dimensionals, white ribbon, slit punch

This card was totally cased. I can't find the link to send you to the original, but it is on the tutorial on Split Coast for tag punch poinsettas. Let me know if you find it!

(I have to say it...the way the poinsetta is glued on doesn't it look like a person jumping in the air spread eagle style? That's what I see when I look at it.)

What's in a name?

My husband is the best! I knew when I needed a great name for this blog he was the go-to guy. In a matter of minutes this is what I had to choose from:
‘Ultimate Stamp-ede
Stampus Maximus
‘To err is human, to stamp.. divine!’
‘Wanted… Dead or a Stamp’
‘To Stamp or not to Stamp… What’s your question?’

The winner, and my personal favorite...

‘Stamp, Shout, Let it all out…’

This kinda encompasses it all - I can chat about anything and the name has me covered!

On a different note, you can tell a lot about a guy and what he recognizes. In order to get a feel for what a blog included, I sent him to my SIL's blog to check it out. He scrolled down a bit and saw the picture of Ben at his bball tourney. "That is Christian Academy's gym, for sure." I guess it's better to know the inside of gyms at a glance than the inside of some other establishment. If you are still reading honey, and I got the name wrong, you can correct me when you get home for dinner. BTW, where is the camera? Kai is eating a banana for the first time and I really need to get some pics...

yah!!

Ok, so I called my SIL and she shed some light on the whole picture mystery. I just randomly picked one to play around with so you get to see Ko'Olina - a beautiful beach at the Marriott in Hawaii. I hope you all get to see it someday in person!

pictures, anyone?

I really want to put some pictures on here to show you some cards I have been doing, but can't figure it out. Maybe one of my sweet SIL's can help me out?? I guess that means I have to tell one of them about it...

This is me.

I have no idea why I am starting a blog. Like I don't have enough to do already!
Oh well, what's one more thing?

I love to go from blog to blog and see all the wonderfully creative people there are out there. I love to stamp, but am not blessed with creativity. A BIG thank you to all you skilled ladies who post your creations and inspire the rest of us!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
