I just have to share these pictures...

Who doesn't love ribs? We found that the ribs from Costco that are frozen and take 15 minutes to cook once they are thawed are great!! I'll still lick my fingers even if the sauce is cold! Yum!
I consider it amazing that he didn'g get any sauce on his sweater! He eats as many as Noah does!

summer days!

This is who visits when its 28 degrees outside and only 10 am! This group stayed until 5 when I sent most of them home because I had another group coming at 6 - My last stampers 10 met that same night!

It was a great day to be outside! We threw some hot dogs on the barby, added chips and pop and they're good to go for the day! Boys are soooo easy to please!

Kai loved this chair! It helped that 2 of the neighbours twirled him around in it for a bit! I got it at the end of the season last year and paid $5 for it. I saw it in the store this season for $25. I LOVE deals!

Not much to look at...YET!

This is definitely a work in progress! What you can't see - my beautiful bleeding heart basket hanging to the right of the Canada flag...the planter that you saw in my previous post. What you don't know...the dirt to the left of the sidewalk is new. As of this morning. Cam helped me dig out all the weeds that were there (we previously had a pine tree in that spot) then we spread topsoil and used a whole bag of grass seed on it. oops! It is suppose to cover a whole lot bigger area, but we figured "Why be stingy?" And Cam had fun letting the wind blow it out of his hands! Now we are hoping for rain as my hose won't reach that far for the sprinkler. I'll have to get the front tap fixed now! I'll get another picture at the end of the month when I am told by my husband that the right side of the yard will be finished! Yah - I can't wait!
Well, Kai just woke up, Ryan will be home soon from the 11 year old scout daycamp, Noah will be home from hockey in a bit, and Cam is looking for a snack. The washer just buzzed telling me its done, and, dang it all, the kiddies are gonna want to eat again today. I better run!

and a few more pictures...

Yup, the pool is also up. Another chore we just finished. Cam went in this morning with a watergun and lasted about 5 minutes. I tried to tell him its still cold, but you know 4 year olds...and 10 year olds...and 11 year olds...and 35 year olds...lol!

The peony bush is doing well - to bad I don't really like peonies. I think these are peonies. If not, whatever they are I don't really care for! However, I did pick the yellow flowers in the basket. They make me smile!

And the front door. Guess I should sweep out there. I was tempted to vacuum the rug yesterday when I was vacuuming the front entry, but my neighbour was in his front yard and I thought he would think I was really weird. Better to let him guess at it then confirm his suspicions! Mind you, he did see me through the window vacuuming off the bar in the kitchen, but that he can't comment on because he was looking in my window. In his defense, if both our curtains are oven we can see into each other's dining rooms without really peeking. It just kinda happens. Like, if their curtains are open and I'm talking on the phone, where else am I gonna look? Maybe this neighbour doesn't like us for a reason!

What a morning!

Ok, I guess I need to go take some closer pictures for you! Cam and I spent the morning working outside. I have to say I'm happy with the results! The rocks on the top are "bubbling boulders" that have water that flows out and down them. This picture is from Classic, but I want these in my front yard. I love them, and have for years! The picture on top is one area of my backyard. I'm going to have to take close ups of the 2 planters by the garage door. I love the planter on the left. It is shaped like a tulip on the top. And, my favorite flowers in the yard are in the planter to the right of the garage door. I don't know what they are. I"ll show you later!
~I'm going to do this in a couple of posts because the pictures seen to upload quicker that way.

What a good boy

On the radio station I listen to they always have a question at dinnertime that if you answer correctly you get a prize. We were in the car today when the question was :" a person on average drinks about 2.5 gallons of this in their lifetime." Ryan was trying to figure it out. We talked about how it would have to be accidentally because 2.5 gallons is not alot for a lifetime. He thought for a minute and then said "I know - alcohol!"

I hope he keeps that attitude!

Another question was "40% of women feel sexier wearing this."

The answer......Sunglasses.
